The "Boaties Fry Pan" is a square (actually rectangular) frying pan, designed to maximize the cooking surface on the smaller stoves found in boats and RVs. The 10" x 8" frying pan is made of heavy gauge aluminum with a laminated stainless steel base and provides good heat transfer and consistent cooking temperatures right into the corners of the pan. Two layers of non-stick coating make low fat cooking easy while the sloped front edge makes it easy to slide hot food off the pan. Pouring hot liquids is easy and accurate using one of the corners as a spout. The compact handle with an oven-proof (max 425°F) silicone grip minimizes the overhang from the stove and is raised to clear the pot holder rail. The square design is easy to store in most RV and or boat cupboards as it will stand against the side of a cabinet. At 1 1/2" deep this frying pan has lots of volume for sauces and such. The Boaties Fry Pan's heavy gauge, domed stainless steel lid is an optional accessory. |

Cooking Area Comparison
The Boaties Fry Pan is only 8" wide but has the cooking area of a 12" wide round frying pan. Do you have room for a 12" pan on your boat or camper stove? The advantage is obvious: You can now fit a full size frying pan on your stove at the same time as a kettle, a large pot or even a second "Boaties Fry Pan". Anyone who has cooked on a boat or RV stove will instantly recognize the value of this. The most common remark we hear is,"Why didn't anybody think of this before?" |
"The Boaties Fry Pan" is a clever and simple solution to a problem that has frustrated owners of boats and RVs for generations.
